These are usually great but this time they were very hard and tough. I don’t know if they were old or not. I wouldn’t think so but they definitely different.

That being said, the colder weather can harden up the caramel, and for optimal texture we recommend eating the bars after they're at room temperature for 24 hours. Rhea bars are hard. Hurt my jaw to bite.

I ordered these before and they were amazingly good. But the 2 boxes of Rhea bars I just received don’t expire until 1/2026, but they are so hard it’s like they’re expired. They’re still delicious, but when I take a bite, the inside is really hard to bite through and the chocolate outer coating just breaks off down my shirt and into my lap. The outside is not hard. It’s only the inside that is so hard to bite through. But it takes so much effort to bite through it, that the outside can’t hold up. It seriously hurts my jaw to chew each bite for the first 2 or 3 chews. But do I stop? No! Because they’re still so delicious! Maybe this was just a bad batch that made them so hard. I hope you didn’t change the recipe.

However, sometimes the caramel can seize if it's exposed to extreme temperatures during transit. This last batch was really hard, I know they are fresh but felt stale. I warm them up and they are better. As always, the flavor is great. I love this company.

Very very good for low sugar . It was a great treat similar to other i know when i was young . I loved it . A bit of aftertaste but water took it away

These are really tasty, but one of the boxes of bars was super hard to chew. Almost like the caramel was cooked too long. The other bars were great!

Diabetic doctor brother adores these Rhea bars when I give him one. The peanut nougat center has great mouth chew of high quality candy bar. He wants to know if I have stock in the company.
